FIFPro Asia/Oceania invited the FPFA to attend the FIFPro Asia/Oceania Congress on October 3 and 4 in Kolkata, India. It was the first time the FPFA attended a FIFPro-related event, and it was a fruitful and educational experience that showed us how much professional players and Philippine football can benefit from the FPFA.
The congress covered several topics, but it focused on organizing players and association operations. Through the strategic planning workshop, we learned a lot from FIFPro and the players’ associations, and the FPFA could go through similar things eventually. It’s enlightening to have heard their stories, which showed us the possibilities and opportunities that we can explore moving forward.
